That's not a wise thing to do. What if a wind comes up and knocks the tree over onto the road, and what if someone is walking or driving by at the time and is either injured or killed by your dead tree - you may be held responsible for damages because you exercised negligence by not removing the tree. A dead tree by the roadside poses a public danger and it's up to you, as the property owner, to exercise responsibility for the removal of the tree.
If I have you guys come and take care of my tree problem, and you do damage to my property, what then?
That's something you don't have to worry about - JBTrees LLC is fully bonded in case of property damage. However, we take extreme precautions to ensure that we do not cause property damage. During the tree cutting, or removal, process there's going to be plenty of limbs and sawdust on the ground, but after the cutting is done - and the stump removed - the JB Trees work crew takes special pains to thoroughly clean the area. In many cases, we do this so well that it's sometimes difficult to tell that any any work had been done.
Two problems come to mind: If the leaf cover is too close to the house roof, you're inviting rot; especially if you live in or near the mountains. While the shade cover is great during the hot summer, it will cause problems when it rains. The leaf cover never lets the wet shingles thoroughly dry out - resulting in dampness, moss build-up, damp roofing boards underneath the shingles and eventually wood rot through the roof.
The second problem makes itself known every time we have high winds or freezing rain: There's a good chance the entire tree, or a large branch, could come down onto your house. It's wise to pay a reasonable fee for prevention than to pay a huge outlay of money to either put on a new roof, or even in the worst case, rebuild an entire house.

"I've got a big tree on my property, and I want it down. I'm thinking of doing it myself." Unless you have plenty of experience in taking down trees, JB Trees LLC strongly advises against this. This advice sincerely comes in regards to your safety. A large tree will have a trunk that can measure from three to six feet in diameter, and most folks who aren't in the tree cutting business do not have an adequate sized-chain saw that can handle the cut. Another thing that's missing on the part of the property owner is the experience of managing up to 25-tons of tree that's about to fall. The tree will fall, as expected, but once it hits the ground it can twist, recoil and possibly bounce right back at you. If that happens, chances are you'll be in serious trouble.
Large trees, over the years of their growth, can develop interior grain patterns that are undetectable to the non- professional. Once the trunk is cut through, and because of the gravitational pull exerted on the grain, the falling tree often times will not fall where it was supposed to. There are plenty of videos on television lately showing a cut tree suddenly twisting and falling onto a truck standing nearby, or worse, if there is a building nearby, it will be the luck of the draw the tree will fall onto the building. Falling trees are funny like that. Be safe, and contact JB Trees LLC, either by filling out the Contact Form or by calling 864-497-8511.
